Pharmacist
Michael Khalil began studying life sciences at Queen’s University before moving to Pharmacy School at Wayne State University in 1990.
He worked at various pharmacies including his father’s for a year and quickly decided to own his own pharmacy. In 1994 he purchased the Aurora Medical Pharmacy. His pharmacy practice included servicing the community and a 200-bednursing facility.
Michael’s passion had always been compounding. Soon after purchasing the pharmacy, he furthered his compounding skills with a certification from the Association of Compounding Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) located in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition, Michael has formal training and certification from the Professional Compounding Centres of America (PCCA). He found it challenging and rewarding to work with veterinarians to provide custom medication solutions for animals of all types.
Petscriptions was founded alongside the Aurora Compounding Pharmacy in 1994 and has enjoyed many years of successful compounding activities. He continuously updates his knowledge of medicine, therapeutics and drug therapies for both human and veterinary clients.
Apart from work, Michael enjoys swimming, playing tennis, and travelling with his family.
